9:00 a.m.This early Sunday service in the Chapel attracts many people with its relaxed worship-in-a-circle and the weekly celebration of Communion. Members participate in the service by preparing the Communion Table, reading the Scriptures and presenting the Prayers of the People. » Sample Order of Service (PDF) 11:00 a.m.This is a more traditional Sunday service with organ, 50-voice choir and occasional instrumental accompaniment, Children's Time and sermon held in the Sanctuary. Enter into the mystery of God's presence through meditative silence, interwoven with melodies and prayer. Renew and rejuvenate with a quiet, introspective hour in the midst of busy, demanding lives. Services held on the third Friday of each month @ 6:00 p.m.On the third Friday of each month, these services are hosted by alternating downtown churches September through June. Youth Services are held on the third Saturday of each month @ 6:00 p.m.On the third Saturday of each month, September through June, Youth Services in the style of Taizé are also offered at the corresponding locations. Celtic WorshipJoin us in the Chapel for a 45 -minute quiet, reflective time focusing on materials gleaned from Celtic sources, including prayers, responses, and songs. Celtic spirituality challenges the spirit and soothes the soul. Second Friday of the month from October to May. See events for specific dates and times. UCW Seasonal ServicesThe United Church Women prepare three seasonal worship services at 11:00 a.m. on a Monday preceding Thanksgiving, Advent, and Lent. Members of our own congregation, other downtown churches and visitors are all invited to attend. A time of refreshments and fellowship begins at 10:00 a.m. |
