The lineup of speakers for the 2008 conference included:
Marcus Borg is Professor of Religion and Culture at Oregon State University.
He is a leading historical Jesus scholar, and author of twelve books including Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time, The God We Never Knew, and The Heart of Christianity.
John Dominic Crossan is known through his work on the historical Jesus, earliest Christianity and the historical Paul. Professor Emeritus in the religious studies department at DePaul University.
His books include God & Empire: Jesus against Rome then and now, The Historical Jesus (1991), Jesus: A Revolutionary Biography (1994), Who killed Jesus? (1995), and The Birth of Christianity (1998).
Miriam Therese Winter, medical mission sister, Professor of Liturgy, Worship, Spirituality and Feminist Studies at Hartford Seminary, became well-known through her songs such as "Joy is like the rain."
She is author of 12 books including The singer and the song, The Gospel according to Mary, A New Testament for women, and Woman Wisdom.
Meg Hickling is a Registered Nurse who has been a sexual health educator for more than 25 years. Her ability to convey difficult material with sensitivity, gentle humour and warmth distinguishes her as a remarkable teacher and role model.
Meg is the author of Speaking of Sex: What your children need to know and when they need to know it, More speaking of sex and a video series for parents, Sex spelled out for parents.
John Bell is an ordained minister of the Church of Scotland and a music leader of the Iona Community.
He has generated music and texts for the renewal of congregational worship through his ecumenical and inclusive approach to music.
He has a remarkable power as a liturgist and leader of song that must be experienced!
