Marcus BorgMarcus Borg

Marcus Borg is nationally and internationally known in both academic and church circles as a biblical and Jesus Scholar and author of eleven books, including Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time, The God We Never Knew, and The Meaning of Jesus: Two Visions, (co-authored with N. Thomas Wright). Described by The New York Times as "a leading figure among the new generation of Jesus scholars," he has appeared on NBC's "Today Show," PBS's "Newshour," ABC's "Prime Time" and NPR's "Fresh Air" with Terry Gross.

Borg's work has been translated into seven languages and he has lectured widely overseas and throughout North America. His newest book, Reading the Bible Again for the First Time, was named one of Publishers Weekly's "ten best selling books in religion."

Wendy Fletcher-MarshWendy Fletcher-Marsh

Wendy Fletcher-Marsh is Dean at Vancouver School of Theology. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Fletcher-Marsh was most recently Associate Professor of the History of Christianity at Huron College in London, Ontario. Her most recent book, Like Water on a Rock: Gender Integration in Canadian Anglicanism was published last year.

Herbert O'DriscollHerbert O'Driscoll

Herbert O'Driscoll is former rector of Christ Church in Calgary, a native of Ireland, and an Anglican priest in Canada. He is widely known for his workshops on preaching and the spiritual life, and is a frequent session leader at the College of Preachers in Washington, D.C. O'Driscoll is the author of over 20 books, including Conversations in Time, For All the Saints, The Leap of the Deer, Prayers for the Breaking of Bread, and The Road to Donaguile.

Allan SaundersAllan Saunders

Allan Saunders is Lead Minister at First†Metropolitan United Church. He encourages congregations to discern their dreams and visions, and to make them a reality. Allan brings 25 years of congregational experience in diverse settings ranging from rural to urban.

Fran PolletFran Pollet

Fran Pollet is Music Director at First†Metropolitan United Church and also directs the Linden Singers. She has been a key figure in the establishment of Worship in the Style of Taize, hosted by the Downtown Churches Association of Victoria and is in regular contact with the community of Taize, France.

Ron Klusmeier/Sheelah Megill

Ron Klusmeier and Sheelah Megill offer concerts, workshops, and worship leadership. Sheelah's original dramatic monologues for worship and study are published in two books: Your Faith Has Made You Whole and My Great Grandmother's House.

As a composer, Ron collaborates with authors Walter Farquharson (Canada), Ruth Duck (U.S.A.), Fred Kaan (England), Brian Wren (U.S.A.), Shirley Erena Murray (New Zealand) and John Oldham (Canada). He has hundreds of selections published by over 75 denominations and publishing companies worldwide.

Voices United, the hymnbook of the United Church of Canada, contains more hymn tune compositions by Ron than by any other contributor. In Canada, his music is also included in Anglican, Presbyterian, and Roman Catholic hymnbooks.

Mark MacLeanMark MacLean

Mark MacLean is Worship Program Officer for the United Church of Canada. He has served the church through internships in Terrace, BC; Papua New Guinea and in Ordered Ministry throughout the Maritimes prior to his appointment to the General Council Offices of the United Church. His duties include supporting and resourcing worship leaders and participants in local communities across the church and the nation.
